Inspired Ink is an online literary journal showcasing the creative work of Port Washington writers in grades 7th through 12th. We welcome fiction, poetry, personal essays, travel stories, book reviews and all mediums of art. The goal of our online journal is to assemble a wide range of voices, perspectives, and life experiences, and provide young writers with a creative platform to present their ideas to the world.
It is also a writer’s resource, dedicated to helping young writers unlock their creativity and enjoy the process of writing, whatever the genre. We are interested in knowing what patrons want Inspired Ink to offer, be it programs like writing workshops and art discussions, or an addition to the website like a post on plot development, we want Inspired Ink to service a writer’s every need.
Inspired Ink was started by a Port Washington Girl Scout in the spring of 2019. She received her Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting, for the creation and continued management of this website, and hopes it will inspire future Girl Scouts to go for their Gold.
